BYU Rugby: 2012 National Collegiate Champions

The Cougar Rugby Foundation (CRF) is a non-profit 501c3 foundation founded in November of 2001, originally created to help contribute funds to help offset the large operating and travel expenses incurred by Brigham Young University rugby program.

BYU Rugby is an extramural sport at Brigham Young University and is only partially-funded by the University. BYU Rugby is also not associated with BYU’s Athletic Department. Without the support of donors and contributing foundations such as the CRF, BYU Rugby would not be able to exist, let alone be consistently competing for National Championships.

It is important to note, the CRF is not operated by Brigham Young University, and acts as a stand-alone entity. While the CRF remains a major contributor to BYU Rugby, and helps facilitate the needs of the rugby program, it also helps contribute to many other meaningful causes such as the development of youth rugby locally and nationally and other service-oriented projects.
